Visit the stunning Keukenhof, the world’s most beautiful spring garden. The Keukenhof Gardens will open for the 2026 season on 19 March until 10 May 2026.
After enjoying the beautiful flowers (we spend about two hours there) we head to Zaanse Schans, a charming village with historic windmills, old wooden houses, old mill sheds, a visit to the wooden shoe workshop, watch clogs being made, and indulge in a delicious cheese tasting. A full day of Dutch beauty and tradition.

Love tulips and spring flowers but want to avoid the crowd? Visit the beautiful Hortus Bulborum (small Keukenhof), with colorful flowers like tulips, hyacinths and daffodils.

Then we are having lunch in the cute fishing village of Volendam where you can enjoy fresh seafood. Finish with a scenic ferry ride to the former island of Marken. A perfect day of dutch charm and fun.

Here we enjoy the highlight of the day: a private boat trip through Alkmaar’s canals, complete with a delicious picnic of fresh bread, local cheeses & typical dutch treats, wine and cold Heineken. Afterward, stroll Alkmaar’s historic streets and soak up its charming atmosphere.
